If you're a substitute teacher you know this is a common question and the correct response is not just your name. You might be the physical education teacher for large combined classes of middle school boys and girls. You could be the calculus teacher for an advanced placement math class in a high school. Today may be your first time as a band instructor, kindergarten teacher or Spanish teacher. You are also a unique individual, with the capability of adding your own personality, ideas, enthusiasm and insights to the classrooms of students with whom you will spend your day.
